MY VISITOR

I am very sorry that I have not been able to post lately.
I have many tasks that keep me quite busy,
plus I am getting older and it takes longer to get things done.

BUT...a very delightful event occurred last week!
I had a visit from Sharon, better known as Shaz.

She is a fellow card creator who lives in Australia
and we have been online friends for several years.

You will want to visit her even if you are not a card maker.

It was such a blessing to meet her in person and visit and share
our experiences, go shopping and out to eat!

We especially enjoyed going to Michaels, Hobby Lobby
and Tuesday Morning and going through their card making things.

She taught me some new techniques to make my cards better.
We also shopped online for some stamps and dies.

We had a great time!

I am missing her sweet companionship and our conversations,
but she was getting tired since she had already visited
several other countries and friends before come to the US.

She stopped in Texas overnight and Hawaii for a few
days after leaving here.  I just got an e-mail
saying that she is on her way home!

Pray that God will help her to recover quickly from the trip and
be back to sharing her beautiful work with all her friends.

Love you Shaz!

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you
Philippians 1:3

Here is the card we created using tissue paper and
embossing powder:

God bless you all!

I will forever be indebted to those who sacrificed
their lives frighting for our freedom and
my deepest appreciation goes out to their families
who daily bear the pain of their loss.

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.

SOMEBODY CARES

  Casting all your care upon him;
for he careth for you
1 Peter 5:7

SOMEBODY CARES

Somebody knows when your heart aches,
And everything seems to go wrong.
Somebody knows when the shadows
Need chasing away with a song.

Somebody knows when you’re lonely,
Tired, discouraged and blue,
Somebody wants you to know Him,
And know that He dearly loves you.

Somebody cares when you’re tempted,
And the world grows dizzy and dim;
Somebody cares when you’re weakest,
And farthest away from Him.

Somebody grieves when you’re fallen,
Even then you’re not lost from His sight;
Somebody waits for your asking
Him to take the gloom from your night.

Somebody loves you when weary;
Somebody loves you when strong;
He always is waiting to help you
And watches you all the day long.

Are you needing His presence so holy
Or needing His friendship so true?
His name? We call Him Jesus.
His people? Folks just like me and you.

I love them that love me;
and those that seek me early shall find me.
Proverbs 8:17

‘ A Mother’s Love ‘

Whose is the heart that burst with pride each time she sees your face.
Whose are the eyes that dart about, to check your world is safe.
Whose are the arms that wrap you up and hold you tight and close.
Whose is the love that’s always there whenever you need it most.

Whose is the smile that lights the room when you smiling too
Whose shoulder is the place to be, when only a cuddle will do.
Whose chest is warm and comforting when you’re a weary soul
Whose motivation only has your happiness as her goal.

Whose are the tears that cry for you as you grow old and free
Whose is the heart that aches so much, in the space where you should be.
Whose is the head that knows that you must find your path alone
Whose is the voice who welcomes you each time you go back home.

Who could have so many facets that make her oh so great
Who has you on her mind each day, and today we celebrate.
Whose hands hold and guide you, in a way unlike another
All these are part and parcel of the joys of being a mother.

A mother laughs our laughter:
sheds our tears,
fear our fears.
She lives our joys.
Cares our cares, and
all our hopes and
dreams she shares.

TODAY IS THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning,
O LORD;  in the morning
will I direct my prayer unto thee,
and will look up.
Psalm 5:3
Come to the morning-prayer;
Come, let us kneel and pray:
Prayer is the Christian pilgrim’s staff,
To walk with God all day.

At noon, beneath the Rock
Of Ages, rest and pray;
Sweet is that shelter from the heat,
When the sun smites by day.’

At evening, shut thy door;
Round the; home-altar pray;
And, finding there the house of God,
At Heaven’s gate close the day.

When midnight veils our eyes,
Oh, it is sweet to say,
I sleep, but my heart waketh, Lord,
With thee to watch and pray.

James Montgomery

The LORD is nigh unto all them
that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth.
Psalm 145:18

Faith asks no signal from the skies,
To show that prayers accepted rise,
Our Priest is in His holy place,
And answers from the throne of grace.

Faith, mighty faith the promise sees,
And Looks to God alone;
Laughs at impossibilities,
And cries, It shall be done!

Charles Wesley

Can I have the things I pray for?
God knows best;
He is wiser than His children.
I can rest.

Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17

FRET NOT

 Fret not thyself because of evildoers,
neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
Psalm 37:1

Dear restless heart, be still; don’t fret and worry so;
God has a thousand ways His love and help to show;
Just trust, and trust, and trust, until His will you know.

Dear restless heart, be still, for peace is God’s own smile,
His love can every wrong and sorrow reconcile;
Just love, and love, and love, and calmly wait awhile.

Dear restless heart, be brave; don’t moan and sorrow so,
He hath a meaning kind in chilly winds that blow;
Just hope, and hope, and hope, until you braver grow.

Dear restless heart, repose upon His breast this hour,
His grace is strength and life, His love is bloom and flower,
Just rest, and rest, and rest, within His tender power.

Dear restless heart, be still!  Don’t struggle to be free;
God’s life is in your life, from Him you may not flee;
Just pray, and pray, and pray, till you have faith to see.

THE BEST BOOK OF ALL

Cling to the Bible, though all else be taken;
Lose not its promises precious and sure;
Souls that are sleeping, its echoes awaken,
Drink from the fountain, so peaceful, so pure.

Lamp for the feet that in byways have wandered,
Guide for the youth that would otherwise fall;
Hope for the sinner whose best days are squandered,
Staff for the aged, and best Book of all.

M. J. Smith

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

I want to share  a couple cards I have made:

Have a great week and thanks for visiting.

HOW JESUS SAW ME

The years had left scars.  The scars had left pain.
How could He love me, I wasn’t the same.
I knew I should pay, and I knew the price
For justice and law demanded my life.
But His tender heart, heard my desperate cry
And saw my past through His merciful eyes.
Though I was broken and so very lost
Jesus looked past my sin and my faults.
The justice of God saw what I had done
But mercy was granted through His precious Son.

Not what I was, but what I could be
That is how Jesus saw me.

Wherever you’ve gone, you can’t go too far
That His eyes of mercy can’t see where you are.
He loves you too much, to leave you alone.
His arms of mercy can reach where you’ve gone.
And His heart cries out, to your heart today
See yourself through His eyes, then you will say.
“Sin has ruined my future and stolen my soul
But through Jesus’ blood, I am made whole.
Though I was broken and lost and undone
Mercy was given through the death of His Son.”

Not what I was, but what I could be
That’s how Jesus saw me.

The justice of God sees what you have been,
And justice is waiting for you for your sin.
Your life can be changed and that sentence be gone
For by Jesus’ shed blood the victory’s been won.
Come to Him for mercy, His arms open wide
Are longing to hold you, that’s why He died.
He sees you and loves you and cares about you
He offers His mercy today to you too.
Not what I was, but what I could be
That’s how Jesus saw me.

Have A Blessed Easter

THE LOVE OF GOD

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
Frederick Lehman

For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. For God sent not his Son
 into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.
John  3:16

Because of God's love for mankind,
He sent His Son, Jesus,
to be the sacrificial lamb
offered for our sins.

It is only because of His
death and resurrection that
we are able to become
the Children of God.

The two most wonderful
days of the year are
Christmas and Easter.

Christmas when He came
to earth as a baby and
Easter when He arose from the grave.
